The Insider: Searching for NASCAR Eats
NASCAR Hall monitor Winston Kelley and other biggies were chewing over restaurant possibilities Wednesday morning: Who will run the high-end sports bar at the new racin' Taj Mahal? It's drawn up as a 7,000-square-foot "beer, steer and cheer" joint for yuppies -- like the office workers at the NASCAR office building next door. They're also beginning to look at operators for the 6,000-square-foot store at the Hall. That'll be like a museum gift shop -- but with Richard Petty coffee table books.
